Hair cut

The last time I had hair this short was 14 years ago. I am feeling so liberated now. I do enjoy having long hair but right now I do not have the energy and time to take care of those dead keratin anymore.

Missing in action

It is really tough to keep up this blog during term time. I wish I can update more often from now onwards.

This is my super heavy breakfast. I love carbo in winter morning.

My year one result

Just got my first year semester 2 results and realized I got the Chemistry prize.

WELL. I told the Chemistry department I wanted to get a waiver for that subject long time ago. Getting that prize is not going to reduce the pain I had when taking that module.

Anyway, I am quite pleased with my results (haha). I hope I can maintain my momentum and keep going at this rate for the next 4 years.

Favourite Restaurant

This is my favourite restaurant in Sydney. They serve Taiwanese food like fried pork chop and dishes like egg plant and beef belly. The prices are not dirt cheap so I usually go there as a treat to myself after some hard work such as laundry or clinic duty.

The queue is always long no matter what time I drop by this place too. But I think the quality and the service at this price point in Sydney is still value for money.

the madness begins

A snapshot taken in BOSCH 3 with my regular chocolate and harsh brown

It's been almost a month since semester 2 began. So far I have attended 4 weeks of lectures and laboratories.

From week 5 onwards it will be all assignments, groups works, intra-semester exams and tutorials.

Let's wish for a smooth ride this semester.

a mess

Deeply apologetic for the long hiatus. It has been very hectic for me since Easter break.

First it was the avalanche of intra-semester exams, which was followed by a series of assignments, and closely tagging behind was my final examinations. I simply had no time to update this blog.

After examinations, it was a series of celebrations and events. My sister visited me and we went to Melbourne for a 3 day trip. Right after I sent her off at the airport, I moved my pad from one suburb to another.

Everythings happened in a blur for me, and that was not unlike the messy desk I had, as shown in the pic above.

Easter Break

I had a one week break last week and I jam-packed it with activities.

The week started off from Thursday night, when I attended the Vet Cruise organized by Veterinary Society (Vet Soc) at Darling Harbour. It was a fun night, though a little too "young" for my taste.

Then I attended the Sydney Royal Easter Show on Tuesday. It was a great event. If anyone happens to be in Sydney during Easter and loves animal, I strongly recommend the Easter Show. It was fabulous.

I also did a lot of revision to catch up with my studies. I have 3 quizzes and 3 assignments lining up in April. As I would like to term it, I studied at turbo speed. The last time I studied this hard was for my Chartered Engineer Exam.

Anyway, I had a fruitful and enjoyable Easter break. It is really great to have one week break just like that. Taking a week off in my previous working life usually means going overseas for holiday which does not necessarily translate to rest and relax. I hope I can have more holidays like that.
